After getting a degree in Neuroscience, I bailed on dental school, bought my first camera, and moved to Alaska. If you’re confused by that sentence, just imagine how my parents in California felt. For four years, I managed to make enough money in Alaska each summer to support seven months of travel each winter. I lived in Northern Thailand, volunteered on the Galapagos Islands, and swam with icebergs in Patagonia, all the while delving deep into my passion for capturing beautiful photographs. I found that photography became my excuse to connect with new people from all over the world and that the people, not the places, left the biggest impression.
